The recent lack of posts is due to my current obsession with books,
in particular my attempt at reading all the titles that have won the
Guardian Children’s Fiction Price or Guardian Award.

The sudden inspiration came after discovering that Wiki lists all the winning books from 1967 – today, including some of the shortlisted ones. (Thanks wiki for being such an amazing resource!)
And, that a few of the past winners include
one of the most memorable books I’ve ever read on drug addiction, and

Charmed Life by Diana Wynne Jones
whose fantasy novels have kept me literally spellbound.

And since we're on the story topic,
here's to Asterix the Gaul who turns 50!
