Scotland #08: Whole Foods Glasgow

The flyer introducing, 'Whole Foods Glasgow' came through the door about a month ago and I was so excited to see and welcome a Whole Foods outside London (the first one) and actually accessible to me!

So today, H and I paid the store a visit and it was amazing. The architecure and interior are well-designed, the food is fresh and beautifully presented, the staff are helpful - my only wish is items were cheaper, haha!
The fish counters and meat counters are so very impressive, great selection of various cuts and the produce looked so fresh.
The vegetables are pampered and kept refreshed by a fine mist every few mintues by in-build jet sprays above the display.
The chocolate section - to die for! Hello Montezuma's Chocolate - perfect when there isn't a store in Glasgow.
There was even a beauty section which sold Dr. Bronner's Organic Castile Soaps (in liquid and bar formats), Faith in Nature products, REN products, Neal's Yard and even Weleda - I was so very impressive to see all these brands altogether. While you can purchase Faith in Nature and Weleda in specialist stores in Glasgow, I could not find Dr. Bronners to buy locally until now.

There was also a variety of items that we had not seen before, like DIY Nut Butter machines... which unfortunately did not work very well for us but nonetheless I look forward to tasting it.

The Giffnock Store is located at 124-134 Fenwick Road, Glasgow, UK G46 6XN and has free parking.
I can't wait to go back for lunch there and try out the bakery and sandwich section!
